About

Overview

First and foremost, those who know me would tell you I am not your typical computer programmer. Reason being, you might be asking? The answer relates to the quiet and reserved nature most programmers portray. While yes I may come across that way when I am programming, interviewing, or getting to know a new client. Once I get acquainted, I am probably one of the most outgoing programming individuals that you will meet.

 

I discovered programming during my sophomore year in college. One of my classes required me to make a website for a project. I really enjoyed that project and I quickly learned and excelled. It was because of that project that I decided to change my major to Professional Studies. I became more involved at college, I increased my volunteering and made websites for the Student Union, Student Senate, and also the retiree Learning Center.

 

When I’m not working, I spend time helping others learn new skills from coding skills to the latest tricks in Photoshop. I believe the best way to learn and master a new skill is to teach it to others, even if that involves creating more competition for myself. When I’m not working or helping others learn, I can be found either on the water taking part in water sports or enjoying some other activity, like rollerblading, in the great outdoors.

Hobbies

When it comes to work and hobbies, they tend to overlap. I really enjoy web design, web development, web accessibility and photography.  Even on the weekends I can be found working on my computer or with a camera in hand. When I’m not involved with a work-related hobby, I enjoy waterskiing, wake boarding, bonfires, tennis, rollerblading and just spending time enjoying the great outdoors, especially in the Virgin Islands or other warm weather destinations.

Web design, web production (art cutting and optimization), interactive/ digital advertising, print advertising, reports and photography

Project Management:

Experience managing multiple projects at the same time and ensuring on-time completion.
